Application
Praziquantel is a broad-spectrum parasiticide drug, with a significant killing effect on adult schistosomes, effective anthelmintic against Schistosoma japonicum, Schistosoma mansoni, and Schistosoma aegypti, Schistosoma hua-chi, Schistosoma pulmonary, Schistosoma gingerschiselii, cestode worms, and cysticerci. Especially, it has a strong killing effect on tapeworms, and it is the best one among the current schistosomiasis drugs. According to the different treatments of schistosomiasis and tapeworm disease, its usage and dosage have variability, and should be used reasonably to avoid adverse reactions.
