Tylosin tartrate is the tartrate salt of Tylosin, Tylosin  is a special antibiotic for livestock and poultry, a weakly alkaline compound extracted from Streptomyces culture. Clinically, Tylosin is often made into tartrate and phosphate.

Tylosin tartrate is a white or pale yellow powder, slightly soluble in water, can be converted into a water-soluble salt with acid, the aqueous solution of the salt is stable in weak alkaline and weak acid solutions.

It is easily soluble in water and dichloromethane, slightly    soluble in anhydrous ethanol, and soluble in dilute solution of inorganic acid


The  IR  absorption  spectrum  of  this  product   should  be consistent with the control spectrum

The content should be less than 0.35%. If the product is used  to produce parenteral preparations, the content should be less than 0. 15%

Tylosin tartrate application

Pharmacology and application

Tylosin tartrate is effective against Gram-positive bacteria and some negative bacteria, but with weak effect and strong effect on mycoplasma. It is one of the macrolide drugs with strong effect on mycoplasma. It is easy to develop resistance to tylosin-sensitive bacteria and mycoplasma, and can develop cross-resistance with these antibiotics such as erythromycin. Tartrate absorption is good, while phosphate absorption is poor. Tartrate is easily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract (mainly the intestinal tract) after internal administration. The peak concentration of blood drug was reached 1h after internal administration, and the blood concentration of equal amount of intramuscular or subcutaneous injection of tyin was 2~3 times higher than that of internal administration. Pigs excrete faster than poultry. Clinically, it is mainly used to prevent mycoplasma infection in chicken, Turkey and other animals, and only has preventive effect but no therapeutic effect on mycoplasma in pigs. In addition, tylosin is also used in pneumonia, mastitis, metritis and enteritis caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Enterovibrio coli and auponema, but it has no obvious effect on Escherichia coli, Pasteurella and other infections. Tylosin can also be used to prevent coccidial infection and soak eggs to prevent the transmission of Mycoplasma Turkey.

Functional role

1. Mycoplasma diseases: mainly used for the prevention and treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia (swine asthma), chicken mycoplasma venom infection (also known as chicken chronic respiratory disease), sheep infectious pleural pneumonia (also known as mycoplasma pneumonia), mycoplasma amactia and arthritis, mycoplasma bovine mastitis and arthritis, etc.

2. Bacterial diseases: they has a good effect on diseases caused by a variety of gram-positive bacteria, and a good effect on diseases caused by some gram-negative bacteria. Mainly used for prevention and control: Staphylococcus aureus caused by various purulent disease, strecoccus caused by mastitis, sheep, pig sepsis, arthritis, pig meningitis, horses, disease, traumatic infection and cervicitis, pigs caused by erysipelas, pig caused by lung disease, cattle hemorrhagic septicemia, avian cholera and sheep, horses, rabbit, salmonella caused by various livestock and poultry of salmonella.
