Application
Telmicocin is a newer macrolide semi-synthetic antibiotic from tylosin, which has a similar antimicrobial profile to tylosin, but has an enhanced role in antihemorrhagic sepsis (Pasteurellamultocida) and Pastestria haemolyticus. Successfully developed in the 1980s, it initially used the EL-870 as a code name. The commonly used trade names are Pulmotil© and Micotil©, and the preparations are telmicin soluble powder, premix (20%), and injection. It was approved in most European countries in 1990 and in the United States in 1992 and included in the United States Pharmacopeia. Some domestic companies have also been approved to produce temikacin. Due to its special antibacterial activity and pharmacokinetic characteristics, this drug has been approved for clinical use in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in cattle, goats, sheep, dairy cows, pigs, chickens and other animals. Especially the respiratory tract diseases of livestock and poultry, such as livestock actinobacillus sex pleural pneumonia, Pasteurella disease and chicken mold body disease and the treatment of lactating animal mastitis. It is mainly used to treat infections caused by pleural pneumonia, Actinobacillus, Pasteurella and mycoplasma.
