Phytase, also known as phytate 6-phosphatase, appears white to light yellow and is typically a glycosylated protein. The pH range for phytase tolerance is usually 2.5-6.0, with an optimal reaction temperature between 45-60°C. Certain products can withstand temperatures as high as 80°C.

Application
Phytase is a novel green feed enzyme preparation that is widely found in animals, plants and microorganisms. In principle, it can hydrolyze phytic acid in plants into orthophosphoric acid and inositol derivatives, based on which it can release iron and calcium ions chelated by phytic acid in the gastrointestinal tract so that the ions can be utilized by animals. Therefore, adding phytase to the diet can enable monogastric animals such as pigs to improve the utilization rate of phosphorus in the feed and promote growth, and at the same time, it can reduce the amount of added inorganic phosphorus, reduce the emission of phosphorus in the feces, and reduce environmental pollution.
