Application
Clopidol is a veterinary additive widely used to prevent coccidial infections in chickens.It is one of the most widely used anticoccidials in China, which is effective against all kinds of chicken coccidiosis, and is usually mixed in animal feed for continuous use.
It has good effect on 9 kinds of Eimeria in chicken, especially on tender this species. The active peak period is the child spore stage (i.e., the first day of infection), so it can be given before or together with infection, for prophylaxis or early treatment. Data have proved that chlorhydroxypyridine can inhibit the immunity of chickens to coccidioides, and stop the drug early, often leading to the outbreak of coccidiosis. It is currently believed that coccidia are susceptible to resistance to this product. This product also has a certain control effect on rabbit coccidia. It is widely utilized as an antifungal agent in China, exhibiting efficacy against various strains of chicken coccidia, and is commonly incorporated into animal feed on a continuous basis.
